I fear that I only knew Nicholas for a fraction of his life - but quickly realised that he was a very friendly and caring person with a good sense of humour.

I particulary admired the way he responded so quickly to my request for help in caring for Freddie - he quickly took control of everything in a very caring and sensitive way and I greatly admired him for that.

When I visited him and Birgitta in Berlin they both made me so welcome and Nicholas was so anxious for me to see as much as possible during my visit.
