As an independent Nottingham-based woodturner, I produce turnings for companies and individuals. Some of my company jobs include:
working with a loft-conversion company, especially in Victorian and Edwardian houses. I go on site to measure existing spindles and newels, which I then reproduce in fine detail.
supplying turnings for shopfitting. I work from architect's drawings and my turnings are sent to jobs in Russia, France, Spain, etc.
working with a company researching older furniture styles and reproducing the parts they require.
